Make a Wake

People usually try to slip by undetected. They dress to fit in, they move to the emptiest spot on the bus and stare into the corner to avoid eye contact, and they try to take a neutral stance less someone be offended. My new motto - Make a wake. Leave a trail of waves, be a little bolder, throw off the balance, and make the world a better place. If we manage to slip by without changing anything, then we might as well have not even lived! Everyday, everywhere we go, we should be making a difference. Surprise somebody, give that stranger a compliment, pick up someone else's trash, volunteer to help somebody, be a little friendlier, say something (non-offensive) when you think you probably shouldn't. If you aren't making a wake, then you will come and go without the world ever knowing you existed.
